thinkpads rule

I took apart my (work... tee hee) laptop for the first time last night, to install a mini pci cell radio card. Can we talk about how well engineered these things are, particularly compared to everything designed in cupertino ever?

1) The antennas for the radio were already installed, with field-upgradability in mind.
2) Removing the keyboard tray was three well labeled screws, removing the wrist rest was another 4.
3) The retention screws for the empty mini pci slot were inside already!
4) Once installed, everything actually worked including the panel LED for the card and the SIM slot in the battery tray.

Thanks, Lenovo!
